From self-producing to finding 20 producers in 4 days:

Finding Producers Is Easy

Your Image

The master plan to finding producers who are excited to work with you (no matter how many films you've made so far)

Your Image

You should have at least 5 producers who want to work with you and are excited to hear about your next project (especially if you've made 2 or more short films)

This is the method filmmakers have used to:

Book 5 meetings with producers in 3 days (after spending 6 months struggling to find any producers interested in short films)

Get 168 producers reaching out in 48 hours (and build an incredible network in a brand new country!)

Find a perfect-fit producer and get them onboard a short film in 48 hours (with no composers or actors spamming them)

Get hired to direct a short film (thanks to ONE tweet using this formula!)

Build a network of producers in 3 countries simultaneously (in less than 2 hours a week)

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

MODULE 1 - Your Unique Focus: How to talk about what you make (and how you’re different from every other filmmaker) in a way that excites people, the One Line Method and overcoming imposter syndrome

MODULE 2 - Project Prep: What you need to do for your projects before you start connecting with producers, the Logline Method, the 5x5 rule and identify the core markers in your project so you can pitch it to anyone

MODULE 3 - Last Looks: The 4 details everyone forgets before reaching out to producers that sabotage their results

MODULE 4 - My Evergreen Producer Method: Why you’re getting it wrong when it comes to producers (and why you usually end up self-producing), my grow-it method that means you won’t have to try and find producers again after this and industry changes that make this module more important than ever

MODULE 5 - Finding Producers: Bird’s eye view of the process, the 15 most effective ways to find producers, find out what sort of producer you actually need, how to actually find producers at events and how to tailor every method to fit your personality

MODULE 6 - What to say to get them excited and wanting to work with you: How to introduce yourself so they remember you and, crucially, express a genuine interest in what you’re making, the 4-Part Conversation Framework, the methods I recommend the most and the step-by-step plan you can start right now to find producers asap

MODULE 7 - My Address Book System: Reaching out to a bunch of producers but not remembering exactly who you reached out to and when, or when you should follow up? Not a good look. Not nurturing the relationship every 2-4 weeks? Also not a good look. Let's fix that so you don't sabotage your efforts

BONUS MODULE - Weekly Routine: The weekly routine and habits that help you keep this work up in less than 30 mins per week and the small habits that will be most effective (that you can still do whilst working and dealing with other responsibilities)

BONUS MODULE - Self-sabotage and how to fix it: None of the other modules will make any difference if you fundamentally believe that you can’t find producers or producers don’t want to work with you. So let’s fix that in a gentle, long-lasting way

BONUS MODULE - How to reactivate connections (without it being awkward): How to reconnect with people in a positive, non-cringe way, plus the exact message I’d send to re-establish a connection

BONUS MODULE - Why producers didn’t reply to you last time: A list of potential reasons they didn’t get back to you and what to avoid or do differently this time

FAQs:

I've never worked with a producer before. Will this work for me?

Absolutely. It's easy to buy into the myth that producers don't work with early-stage filmmakers, but if that were true then nobody would ever get started
This is going to help you identify the exact type of producer that's the best fit for you right now and help you find them

I'm just looking for an executive producer who'll fund my film. Will this work for me?

Realistically, probably not. This is going to help you build a network of producers who want to support you creatively, but that's not the same as an investor-minded producer who'll just write you a cheque
I'd recommend checking out my course on Getting Your Short Film Funded

I love the idea of having a producer, but I haven't had a great experience so far. Most of them just quit when we didn't get funding. How will this be any different?

Great question. This happens to a lot of filmmakers. They usually find a producer for applications that are coming up, so they miss the vital stage of building a strong creative connection that ensures a producer won't just walk away if things don't work out
This is actually the main reason I created this course, because there's a simple way to avoid it
If you've been struggling with this, I'd recommend concentrating on modules 1, 4, 5 and 7

The industry is going through a lot of changes. How do I know this method will work for right now?

I've been teaching the same method since 2019 and it still gets exactly the same results. All of the DMs and comments on this page span from 2019 to a couple of months ago

I don't make live-action films. Will this still help me find a producer?

Absolutely. These methods will work for you no matter what kind of films you make. The only tweak you'll probably have to make is specifying what kind of filmmaker you are in the outreach method I'll teach you (eg. "I'm an animation director")

Does this work for filmmakers outside of the UK?

100%. This method has worked for filmmakers in the US, Canada, Spain, Germany, Mexico and others. One filmmaker used this to build a network in the UK, US and Colombia simultaneously!

Okay Charlotte, I'm ready. How does it work?

I'm so excited for you to get started! The course and workbook are in a Google doc together which will be emailed to you directly after purchasing. It's designed to get you to take action almost immediately (no passively absorbing info and then never doing anything with it)

PS. Is your project actually ready to pitch?

[HIGHLY RECOMMENDED] There are 7 areas that producers consider in projects, but most writers and directors only consider 2-3 of them before they start pitching. The result? More 'not for me' responses than you can shake a stick at. If you're not sure how your project is going to be received by producers, grab the Pitch Stacker tool to evaluate your film in the 7 areas that matter to producers, find out how to strengthen your pitch and start getting genuine excitement from like-minded produces who want to hear more about what you're working on
